I am glad you’re here! Here’s a little about me:
I’ve always been a quiet, introspective person. Fun fact: in high school, I was voted “Most Quaintly Quiet.” That quiet nature came with a natural ability to listen deeply, which eventually led me to the field of mental health.
While earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington, I took several counseling courses with a local psychologist that sparked a lasting interest in therapeutic work. After relocating to Massachusetts, I went on to earn my Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling and School Social Work from Bridgewater State University in 2021.
Following graduate school, I continued to work as a mental health therapist at Child & Family Services, where I had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. In 2024, I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and transitioned into private practice, where I continue to provide personalized, compassionate care.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of helping professions, retail management, restaurants, and even served in the military. Along the way, my own experience with recovery led me to a life of sobriety, which I have maintained for many years. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience it takes to create lasting change and inspired my passion for helping individuals recovering from alcohol use build meaningful, fulfilling lives beyond sobriety.
These experiences continue to shape the way I approach therapy. While every person’s story is unique, I believe growth often emerges through life’s challenges, and meaningful change is possible for everyone.
Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported as they work toward the life they want. My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and the belief that lasting change happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, creating artwork from magazine paper, running outdoors, cooking, and making trips back to my home state of Maine.
My Approach
I approach every client with unconditional positive regard – you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help guide you toward the direction you wish to go. No matter what you’ve been through or what challenges you face today, you deserve to be truly heard. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself, heal, learn, and explore.
You can expect zero judgment, steady support, gentle humor, and fresh perspectives to help you navigate the challenges you’ve faced or are facing now. In every session, I am fully present and focused on helping you make meaningful progress in the areas that matter most to you. I also check in regularly to ensure you’re getting exactly the support you need.
It’s important to find a therapist that’s a good fit. Let’s chat!
I know it can feel daunting to open up to a stranger about your vulnerabilities and life struggles – I truly understand! It takes a great deal of courage to even consider reaching out to a therapist. My goal is to give you the space to explore whether I’m the right fit for you, and if I’m not, that’s completely okay. I offer a free consultation so we can talk, ask questions, and see if working together feels right before committing to a first session.
